Welcome to Viking & Fairy Realm, here you will find examples of our handcrafted items which have been inspired by Viking and Fairy cultures.
We are a husband and wife team that have combined our two interests into a single area.
We pride ourselves on the high quality of the items we produce and will only display or sell an item that we are personally happy with.
All our items are handcrafted by ourselves, we use real woodworking techniques (no hot glue here!) most items being made from reclaimed timber.

About Us
We are Michael and Marion the husband and wife team behind the Viking & Fairy Realm.
We live and work in the Northeast of England and have been crafting for several years, mainly visiting crafting events near our home.
Michael has been woodworking for several years and was asked by a customer if he had ever made a shield or a sword from wood, following some research a Viking style shield, two wooden axes and a wooden sword had been created. This single enquiry led to increased research into the Norse (Viking) cultures and the items that had been created during this historical period. This research was greatly aided by one of Michaels friends who is a practising Norse Pagan, thank you Mr Brown!
During the now infamous year of 2020 Marion was furloughed from her work and began designing and crafting a couple of Fairy houses for our granddaughters as a way of keeping in touch with them during the initial pandemic lockdown. Once the houses had been completed, she then created a range of interactive furniture and accessories for each of the houses.
Marion shared pictures of the houses with friends and family via social media and these created a lot of interest to the point of people asking if she could create some similar items for sale.
We decided to combine both of our interests and now craft alongside each other during our time away from work, the ‘Viking & Fairy Realm’ was born!
We currently display and sell our items at professionally organised crafting events and markets around the Northeast of England. While the pictures within this site are excellent and give you a good indication of the attention to detail our products have, the best way to appreciate them is to visit us in person at one of the events we will be attending.
For more information, please select the ‘EVENTS’ option within the main menu. Please keep visiting as events are added as they are confirmed, this page will be kept up to date as a ‘rolling calendar’.
Thank you for visiting and we hope you enjoy browsing through our website.
