Travellers Benches
These benches were inspired by history and the need to have a seat / bench that was easy to transport and assemble.
They feature a leg set with a ‘tenon’ that locates into a ‘through mortice’ (technical way of describing a hole through the seat) The legs are angled to around 10 degrees to increase stability and safety while being used.
Excellent to use when travelling or where space is limited as their ‘flat pack’ nature needs minimal space for storage.
These can be produced in lengths from 18″ to 48″, the height of the bench can be made to suit your requirements for comfort.
Both three and four legged versions can be ordered, each leg and tenon is marked to indicate the best fit for strength and stability.
Once sanded smooth all surfaces receive a scorched finish to tighten the wood grain and a coat of boiled linseed oil to aid weather resistance.
Engraved designs to personalise these products are available as a custom order.
Small Travellers Table
Priced at £42.00 each
These tables feature the same construction as our benches and feature a table top of around 16 inches (405mm) square. the joint between the table top boards use beech biscuits and water resistant pva glue for strength.
Larger tables are able to be produced as a custom order.
